Feeding ourselves has gotten a lot more complicated lately. In these unprecedented times, the Napa Farmers Market has been working nonstop to ensure we remain open every Saturday (and now every Tuesday), so we can continue to fulfill our mission of providing access to local produce directly from our farmers in a safe and healthy shopping environment.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our farmers need your support, and so do we.

Farmers’ markets are an essential (and in some cases, the only) revenue source for our family farmers and small business vendors.  As other Bay Area farmers’ markets are shuttering under the increased logistics and expense of social distancing measures, the Napa Farmers Market has become even more critical for the families who grow and make the food we all rely on.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Napa Farmers Market relies on flat-rate vendor fees to pay its expenses and payroll for its staff. Social distancing measures have forced the market to downsize the number of vendors significantly – both to qualify as an essential service, and to ensure enough space between stalls for safe interactions.

In short: we now lose money on every market, every week – and we need your help to stay afloat.
