Save Ystrad Mynach Green Space

As a community we have seen our village lose so much green space, often feeling very frustrated that our voices haven't been heard. There are a group of passionate volunteers currently working behind the scenes ensuring that our voices are heard loud and clear this time. 

This fundraiser has been set up to support the 'Save Ystrad Mynach Green Space' campaign. Money would be used initially to purchase banners and signposts to highlight the campaign. 

The current proposal to extend the Trinity Fields School on to the well-used rugby pitch is not the best outcome for the pupils who attend the school or the wider community.  We need the council to listen when we say that we want to keep the green space, and the school should be built to the very highest standard on an alternative brownfield (previously developed) site. The pupils of Trinity Fields School deserve a building fit for purpose, and our community needs green space, so CCBC's proposed plans do not meet the needs of the whole community.   

We also object to the proposed development of a car park and access road which will take a third of our school playing field- the only green space available for pupils in our land locked primary schools. This field is used for educational and recreational purposes and is also an area of very high environmental importance.

Any purchases will be agreed by at least three members of the ' Save Ystrad Mynach Green Space' group, and if there is any money left over following our campaign it will be donated to local charities or school groups for environmental projects.
