Help Yeobo Fund Critical Repairs and Unexpected Expenses

Donation protected
We at Yeobo are in need of financial assistance in catching up on a large amount of unexpected expenses if we are going to keep our doors open.

We bought the assests of our current restaurant space back in October 2024 and since then have been hit with more financial set backs than we're able to handle on our own. It started with an unexpected plumbing project where the city required us to change out our dish sink and grease interceptor, which ran us over $12k (which we had to get financed and are still paying off.) The HVAC we inherited with the space died right before we opened our doors back in January; and while we've been able to make do with space heaters until now, now that the sun is out and the space is heating up we need AC to keep the space habitable for guests and our team members. This is going to cost us in the range of $17k. So while our day-to-day finances are doing considerably well, we've had several huge set backs that have prevented us from expanding and operating at our full capacity because we are constantly trying to catch up. And come May, if we aren't able to make our payments it's unclear what the future holds. That's not even including a secondary plumbing project that the city is forcing on us, which we are still in the midst of negotiating literally any way around it because it would cost us another $15k + we would need to close for at least a week.

We're aiming for a total of $40,000 which would give us the funds to pay off our plumbing project, pay for the new HVAC, cover our note carry for a couple months, and give us the breathing room we need to do all we've been wanting to do. We've been so excited for things as small as changing out the signage on the outside of our building to things as huge as opening for evening hours and having a full bar, but these are all things that just keep getting pushed as weekly our funds are just constantly being depleted by paying off third parties for things we didn't expect.

I (Mars) have been in the food industry for almost a decade, so I don't personally have the "finance a restaurant" type of money to back me up. The only way we were able to afford this space is because in March 2024 my grandmother passed away and left me a small inheritance, with which I was finally able to take the first steps to creating this space I've been dreaming of for years. But as these massive bills keep accumulating, I can't keep up. I've been paying off most of our notes as well as paying for our team's health insurance with my personal income from my freelance work (I don't take any money from Yeobo, what little income I have is from freelance) and it's reaching the point of in-sustainability. If you love this space as much as we do, please help us keep it open.
