Dear friend,
Today we send you a message of hope. We are the Ayad family of four, the brave children Yamen and Rayan, and we embarked on a journey no one should ever have to undertake.
Since October 7th, war has devastated our homeland. It destroyed everything in its path—our home, which held our most cherished memories, our work, our dreams, our relatives, and our friends—it obliterated our homeland from the face of the earth.
We were forced to flee dozens of times, on foot, carrying with us our memories, our sorrow, and our will to survive.
Throughout this nightmare, our children, Yamen and Rayan, have shown us unwavering patience and resilience.
Despite witnessing horrors no child should ever have to endure, they have persevered with hope, courage, and the unwavering belief that the war will end
They endured:
Hunger and thirst
Extreme heat and bitter cold
Sickness and pain
And the immense burden of displacement
Yet, their spirits never broke.
✨ ✨ Our hope: A safe future
Our dream is simple: To live normally, to find a homeland, a home, a corner of the world where our children can:
Feel safe
Receive medical care
Breathe freely
Grow without fear
Dream of a better future through education and work.

And a source of warmth to bring us together
It will be a source of support to persevere
It will enable us to cover the necessary travel expenses
And pay the exorbitant fees for travel
To search for a homeland without war
A homeland that provides our children with security, stability, and peace
And to rebuild what has been destroyed within us
We want to give our children a life free from the brutal war of extermination
