SAVE WINSLOW'S MARKET SQUARE
Donation protected
I’m Jeff Crisp and I’ve lived in Winslow for 30+ years and just want to see the Market Square stay as the vibrant centre of the town. I have no commercial or financial interest in this case
The Market Square in Winslow has been the traditional centre of the town for centuries but a developer wants to turn the whole TSB building into flats. However there are major inaccuracies in the application which Bucks County Council have chosen to ignore. We can contest this with a judicial review but need to raise £2,500 to cover legal costs
Please contribute to our crowdfunding website and share this page with your friends and neighbours. Let’s see if we can stop this. Contributions with a minimum amount of £25 would really be appreciated but anything would help!
To keep Winslow as a community and to continue to have the Market Square as its focal point, we need to have the shops, bars and restaurants to do that. Converting existing commercial and retail premises into residential will kill it completely. If this conversion to flats goes through, others could follow.
I am aware that at least one bid to purchase the property planned to create a restaurant on the ground floor so there are commercial possibilities
Bucks County Council have steadfastly refused to investigate the inaccuracies in the application despite being provided with all relevant information. They have also failed to give any adequate explanations for their actions. The only way we can do this is to apply for a judicial review
We apply first for permission to go to judicial review by the 19th July. If successful, the full facts are prepared and submitted to the Court
So the amount we need is £2500 to cover the legal costs.
Please contribute and make sure as many people as possible know about
Thanks for reading
