I am Alaa from Gaza Strip. I live with my family, we was happy until the war began on October 7, 2023.

The sudden war changed everything in an instant. The bombing began everywhere near where I lived. The family began to scatter and flee, moving from one house to another, from a shelter, then a tent, then another house. During this displacement, we did not sleep or rest due to the bombing, hunger, lack of water, and lack of clothing. Suddenly, on December 15, 2023, we were besieged in a room for two consecutive days. We did not eat or drink, and we did not even sleep. I was very afraid for my children and wife from the continuous bombing and the bullets scattered around the house, until the decisive moment came when military vehicles fired directly at us, hitting my mother in the back. The injury began to intensify as time passed, until the army entered, and out of fear, I lost consciousness. My mother and wife immediately lost consciousness and I couldn't act because I was chained and the army took us. I don't remember anything after that. I woke up naked, my hands and feet tied, and barefoot. My wife and children were beside me in a large yard. Then the army arrested a number of my relatives and released me and my family. We left and were displaced again to central Gaza. After securing the children, we rushed to the hospital to treat my mother. Unfortunately, the hospitals were out of service, so we had to go to a doctor to treat her. However, the medications and treatments were not available in Gaza, so her condition worsened and we almost lost her. We performed a complex surgery due to the scarcity of resources. My mother is still suffering to this day.

After that, the siege intensified and we were unable to obtain food and drink, so I decided to move to the southern Gaza Strip, to the city of Rafah. We lived in a tent. We contracted diseases and hepatitis due to the lack of protective equipment

, and then the army ordered the evacuation of Rafah, so we fled to Khan Yunis, where we lived in a tent on the beach. Winter began, and the high waves came and attacked us, destroying our tent, which sheltered us here. I lost hope in our lives and in everything. We fled to Deir al-Balah. This was the seventh time I was displaced, and we lived in a small tent. From one displacement to the next, there were huge costs and expenses, until debts accumulated due to the high prices of food, drink, and medicine.

All of these events were difficult until the truce came and the deal began, and we were allowed to return to northern Gaza. Here, the greatest shock for us was to find our home completely destroyed, the home I had worked so hard to build and furnish, and with it, my future and my family's hope in life were destroyed.

We now live in tents. We have no clothes or food, and we walk a lot to get water. I ask for your help so that I can provide my family with food, drink, clothing, bedding, necessary medical care, cooking gas, cooking utensils, and other life necessities. After living a dignified life and having some hope for the future for me, my siblings, and my children, I am now homeless and without a future. I hope you will support me to overcome these difficult times.
