Save Trippy: A Lifeline for Matthew's Companion

Donation protected
Meet Trippy.
He needs lifesaving surgery, and we need your help to get that for him.
Since puppyhood this beautiful boy has spent his years in foster care with his loving Dad Matthew. For the past four years Trippy has been Matthews constant companion and one solid source of comfort as they made their way through the foster care system. During his Senior year of high school Matthew aged out of the foster care system. One of Matthew's best friends happened to be our incredible daughter Maggie who appealed for us to take him and Trippy in to give them security and a solid path to his future.
How could we say no?
Trippy and Matthew were living with us when the fires hit Altadena in January and destroyed our home and everything in it including all of Trippy and Matthew's belongings.
But as it has been through their years together, they still had the most important thing-each other.
Trippy now has a massive tumor that formed in his abdomen and after a couple months of observational imaging and tests it was decided to do a CT scan followed by exploratory surgery. All of that is happening as I type this.
In any other time we would take on all of these costs without question, Trippy and Matthew are now family to us. But we have been hit hard this year and as we continue to get back on our feet - paying our rental, replacing all our household items, and facing a rebuild that insurance will not completely cover...we are just strapped.

We went ahead with all the work suggested to save Trippy because for us there is no other option and we will take it all on if needed, but we hope you might help us get him through this. All his pretreatment, todays work and surgery, his expected long recovery, and potential ongoing treatment and medications will easily exceed $20,000.

We are sending out this call to help cover some of that and hope you are able to answer that call in any way you can.

For vetting purposes-
We are the Arnzen-Samoa family from Concha St. in Altadena. We still own the lot on Concha where we plan to rebuild and heal from this terrible year. Matthew is now considered a son to us, Trippy is our Grand doggy and we will spend all money raised to cover his medical costs.
