Save Torro: Urgent Surgery Needed

We are faced with an urgent situation.

We brought Torro to Veterinary Emergency Group in Katy, TX because he had been vomiting a lot and his condition was declining.

X-Rays show a blockage in his small intestines and he needs emergency surgery.

This is a difficult surgery especially with his cardiac issues. The veterinarians at VEG have spoken with his cardiac specialists at Gulf Coast and surgery will be happening shortly.

to say that this surgery is expensive is an understatement… but it is a surgery Torro has to have or he will die.

Torro hasn’t had an easy life, he was discarded by the only family he has ever known and we found him roaming the streets. His owners knew he had a cardiac condition and dumped him without his critical medication .

He had extensive surgery to remove cancer from his leg and now he needs emergency surgery to remove the intestinal blockage.

Some might say ask “why spend all this money on one dog when it could help many?” We get it… it’s a fair question but we aren’t rescuers who play God.

Torro has come a long way since he was rescued off the streets. He’s had hurdles but has overcome them. He’s been a very happy boy with his foster family and he adores the children who come visit. He brings joy to many with his silly personality and his loveable demeanor.

We know what is wrong and it can be fixed… is it expensive? Yes, but we can’t look at him and say ok, too expensive, it’s your time to die. That’s not who we are or what we are about.

Torro deserves this chance and we really need your help.
