The Tomales Town Hall, a beloved community landmark that has served West Marin for more than 150 years, has a leaking roof that is in urgent need of repair. Without immediate action, the building’s future use is at risk.
If you’re a local, you’ve been hearing about Rejuvenation from us for a while now. This fall, you’ll start to see the first tangible steps in keeping our public Hall available and active for years to come.
As reported in our summer newsletter, our roof is worn out. The roof wasn’t originally part of our Rejuvenation plan, but because the need is urgent, we’ve decided to make it the first priority. We can’t risk going another winter without it.
Why It Matters
For generations, the Hall has been the heart of Tomales. It hosts:
- A weekly food pantry in partnership with the:
- San Francisco-Marin Food Bank
- After-school programming in partnership with West Marin Community Services
- Life’s most meaningful milestones: weddings, baptisms, celebrations of life, and community gatherings of every kind
Our Goal: $50,000 to Replace the Roof
We need $50,000 to replace the leaking roof. This essential repair will safeguard the Hall so it can remain safe, functional, and open to the community. We are asking for your support in order to avoid using our reserved funds. Every contribution goes directly toward covering the cost of this critical project.
The Town Hall belongs to all of us.
