We are raising funds to cover the retainer for our legal team to represent us in our fight to save the integrity of our neighborhood.
In the name of "public safety" Monmouth County has decided that our streets should become the pass through for the redevelopment of the former Fort Monmouth. What is now a 2 lane residential road will quickly become a 5 lane 65 feet wide highway suitable to handle commercial traffic. Our legal team will defend our safety, our rights, and our property values. They will also work to stop the urban blight that has consumed Monmouth County and destroyed the fabric of our towns.
It starts on our streets, and will quickly spread across all of Northern Tinton Falls if the County has their way. We can stop them, but we need support. A group of concerned neighbors has already contributed $3,000 for the initial funding which has gotten us representation at the town meetings, a solid legal strategy, and necessary research. Now we need to take the next step.
If you live in northern Tinton Falls, this your backyard. Please come to our meetings, and please contribute. If you live in Monmouth County- this is your chance to tell the County that they can't turn historic, residential neighborhoods into Kozloski Road, and the area around Freehold Mall. Other towns in our area (Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver and Shrewsbury) have successfully fought back and won- they had good legal representation. We can do the same!
