Save the Wynyard RSL sub-branch

Hi, my name is Allan, I served 13 years in the Australian Army with one deployment to Iraq, I am urgently seeking support to save our local RSL sub-branch.

Wynyard is a small rural community on the banks of the Inglis River in Northwest Tasmania. Our RSL sub-branch has supported our veteran community for almost 110 years, sadly, without support 2025 may be our final year.

Our sub-branch receives no funding or support from state or federal governments, we have asked.

Our kitchen requires a full refurbishment in addition to several other maintenance tasks associated with an aging facility, unfortunately we simply do not have the funds to complete this work.

Since 2020 three Tasmanian RSL sub-branches have closed permanently, we simply cannot generate the revenue like the giant clubs on the mainland.

As our veteran community ages they will need our support, it is also inevitable there will be another generation of younger veterans who will need us, where will they go when all the RSL sub-branches close?

Please help us to ensure our sub-branch survives and thrives for another 100 plus years.
