Help save the River Cat Cafe !
The River Cat Cafe was the vision of Alison Kingsley, a long-time member of the vibrant New Hope community. Named after her rescued cat, who has a penchant to wander along the banks of the Delaware River, the River Cat Cafe is beloved by locals and visitors from near and far ever since opening one short year ago. Everyone who visits the restaurant loves the delicious home-made food prepared with fresh, local ingredients and the delightfully cozy and welcoming ambiance.
Food service operation at the River Cat Cafe will be shut down by New Hope Borough because of a technicality related to a zoning condition placed on the Restaurant's use that was determined in 2015. The New Hope Borough Zoning Board voted to deny removal of the technicality on April 11, 2019 despite overwhelming support for the restaurant from the community.
We, as friends of the River Cat, are seeking financial support from the community to help fund a costly appeal to Bucks County District Court in order to overturn the Zoning Hearing Board's recent decision. Please hurry as the appeal has to be filed soon and your donation is urgently needed to help save the River Cat Cafe. Winner of Bucks County's Best 2019 'Best Breakfast in Bucks', the River Cat Cafe has quickly become the favorite place in Bucks to mingle and enjoy great food in a great environment. The community simply can't afford to lose this beloved establishment. Please support Friends of the River Cat Cafe today!
