SAVE THE POWELL POOL

The Powell Pool is a cherished community landmark where families have been making memories for over 25 years. We are a non-profit organization that operates privately by a group of volunteer community board members. Membership fees cover the day-to-day operational costs, but now as we enter our 28th season we have a list of updates and repairs that we would like to make to provide an enjoyable and well-maintained pool to our community. The most costly and crucial repair that is upon us is replacing the entire concrete bottom of the pool. You may have seen the cracking, crumbling, and damaged concrete which is evidence of the issue. In addition, we have been battling leaks for the past few years which have only gotten worse. We are past the point of filling and patching and need to pursue a path of all new concrete. After speaking with a few professionals, the estimated cost of repairs exceeds $250,000. The project will be slated to begin and be completed in the Fall of 2023.
