Save the Pi-Zeta Chapter!

Dear Brothers of Pi-Zeta Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha,

During the last few years, our chapter has experienced challenges and hardships due to the pandemic, the loss of Ken as our mentor and High Pi, and changes in higher education as a whole. COVID-19 has played a significant role in our recruitment and chapter activity, with everything being distanced and isolated. Despite these challenges, we have 8 potential new members for the spring semester. We are working in collaboration with some alumni to set goals, get the support we need, and prepare to revitalize the chapter.

We are doing everything we can to recruit new members and engage alumni to thrive as a chapter. The group of alumni who co-sign this letter will start an Alumni Association that will meet monthly to discuss current chapter topics, support chapter initiatives, and plan alumni events. You are a Lambda Chi Alpha for life, not just when you were in college, and we want to involve you more than we have in the past.

However, with these efforts, we are in a place where we need to ask for your help. We are reaching out to you because we have some serious financial issues. We currently owe $10,000 to IHQ, with $4,500 due from past members during the pandemic. We also need to regain our tax-exempt status. These problems occurred because of financial strain from the pandemic, issues accessing the fraternity bank account after Ken Schultz passed away, and members who did not live up to their obligations as Brothers. As a result of this, we are on financial suspension, and our operations may be suspended soon.

This is where we need your help. We kindly ask for your donations to help your collegiate brothers. Donations of $25, $50, $100, your zeta number, or more would go a long way to support the chapter both now and into the future. We know we can do great things for the chapter with our extra efforts and your kind donations. Our goal is to raise that $4,500 while the chapter collects the remaining due.
