Save the Hominy Community Center!

Hominy Oklahoma has a rich and vibrant history including a professional football team comprised of Native American players, The team was in existence from 1920's to 1932. In 1927, the Hominy Indians defeated the New York Giants. The town has seen days of prosperity and despair. The Hominy Community Center is housed in the former Hominy Junior High. It has rich potential with a beautiful auditorium and a sub-level gymnasium. The roof is in great need of repair and and the sub zero temperatures in Feb 2021 caused the pipes to burst. I would love to see this old building renewed with community events such as community theatre and events for youth and seniors.  The funds are going to be used to repair the roof at an estimated cost of $40,000. This is the most critical need! The additional funds will began the repair of the pipes and restoration of the building.
