Punch Taverns have decided they wish to dispose of the Fountain Inn, a vital heartbeat of Plumpton Green in East Sussex. This fundraiser is aimed at helping the people of Plumpton Green and surrounding areas purchase the Fountain Inn via a Community Benefit Society buy out.

The Fountain Inn is currently listed at £475,000 plus VAT, but will need repairs to the existing building. Our aim is to raise enough money to manage the purchase from Punch Taverns and to help the Fountain Inn become even more a community centre asset than it already is!

Once the Community Benefit Society is set up, I will happily explain how it works.

My name is Stuart Wallis, many of you will know me in the village, and I will be Chairing the group of volunteers who will try and raise the funds and manage the purchase. Only by the pub being bought by the village, and let to the tenant landlord as a freehouse, can we see it thrive in the face of harder times for pubs. Please give what you can to help us buy the pub and save it's future for many years to come!
