Pola has been in my family for 6 generations. It is now on the open market and I have one week to raise the money to buy it, before the open day on the 30th of September.
House sales happen very fast in Norway, and it's not uncommon for a property to sell the day after the open day. Bids are binding and often accepted by the afternoon of the next business day after the viewing. Hence the sense of urgency.
WHY I WANT TO BUY POLA
Over the past year, I have communicated to my family that with some more time I would like to buy the farm and save it from being lost from the family line. Now, after spending two months in Norway, I have extensive knowledge of the 6 generations who came before me. I have also connected with the land they lived on, felt their energy in the homes with me and met family members I never knew existed.
I want to buy this home first and foremost to preserve the history and legacy of those who stewarded Pola before me. Secondly, I want to share it with you, so that you can experience Nordic Ancestry for yourself.
I hope to share this peaceful and simple, yet potent and powerful pocket of the world with anyone needing a place to restore, reconnect and regain their sense of awe and wonder for the world and how they came to be in it.

What if the Property Purchase does not go ahead?
This fundraiser is intended for purchasing my family farm and supporting me on my journey to do so. If I do not raise the funds needed purchase the family farm, or am not able to do so for whatever reason, all offerings and retreats will still be fulfilled and the funds will go towards organising similar retreats in an alternative location. Because of how Gofundme is setup, I cannot return your donations to you. For this reason, I will fulfill on the 'Thank You Gifts' one way or the other.
When will the retreats take place and where?
Retreats are intended to take place in Glåmos, Norway, between mid June and mid September 2024 and 2025. If the property cannot be purchased, retreats will take place in Norway or the UK.
MORE ABOUT POLA
In the late 1800's my great great great grandfather, Hans Storrønning, bought the land and built the homes that still stand here today. With a deep inhale of the mountain air, the hillside landscape sweeps you into it's quite and gentle embrace. The stations of the world simply tune out and the silence becomes all you can hear.
My family have called Pola home for over 150 years and the energy is tangible. It is both homely and sacred, each building a relic, anchored in the present through felt memories of the past. The white farmhouse house sits tucked against the hillside, quiet and protected, warmed by the wood burning fire.
Pola is an escape from both time and space, a portal of sorts. The outside world feels distant and the mountains silently begin to speak in the wind.
It's difficult to describe find more words to addequitely describe this home. All I can say is that I hope you get the opportunity to feel it as I have.
