Save the Maidstone Club

The club was founded and built by the people of Maidstone, primarily prison officers, in the early 1960s. Since its establishment, the club has remained on the same site and has been continuously and exclusively occupied by Maidstone members, without interruption, up to the present day.

With a membership in excess of 600, the club operates not only as a sports and social facility, hosting a range of competitive teams, but also as a well-established community hub. It plays an important role in supporting both its members and the wider local community by providing social, recreational, and community-focused activities.
Members have expressed significant concern at the sudden threat of closure of a club that is profitable, well attended, and effectively managed. The club is entirely self-funded and does not rely on financial support from the CSSC.

The members and the committee remain fully committed to the club’s continued operation and are determined to pursue all available avenues to secure the long-term future of the Maidstone Club.

Please donate to our legal fundraiser.
Legal fees could reach up to £200k! Our target is to raise £50,000 to cover professional fees to fight the notice and stop any further proceedings.

If the club wins, any remaining funds will be redirected to the club to help with ongoing costs and support community events.
