Save the Chain of Parks Delta site

Donation protected
Daniel Andrews Labor Government wants to locate the Suburban Rail Loop's Stabling and Maintenance Yard, plus an above-ground train line (without a train station), on part of the Kingston Green Wedge which has been earmarked as part of the Sandbelt Chain of Parks since the 1994 report Sandbelt Open Space Project.

This decision by State Labor will:
- destroy the Chain of Parks concept,
- destroy the sports and recreation fields, and wetlands, that were planned for the site;
- destroy the planned "Women's Sport Precinct" which would have also featured on the site.
- destroy the rural character of the area, and the local fauna and flora.

At the last election, Daniel Andrews committed $24 million to the Sandbelt Chain of Parks project.

In 2015, his Planning Minister rezoned the land so that it could no longer be used for industrial uses.

Please help us fund the campaign to protect this part of the Chain of Parks and the Kingston Green Wedge.

The Move the Train Yard group is a community organisation that is fighting to save this part of the Kingston Green Wedge by raising community awareness through community mailouts, stalls, social media, political outreach and signage.

Any contribution you make helps to fund paper, printing consumables, signs, stalls, community events etc as all of our time is volunteered.
