605 All Star Band is comprised of 8 schools, 3 school districts, along the 605 freeway. These dedicated students have been given a unique and most likely once in a lifetime opportunity. They will get to perform at the Tournament Of Roses Parade on January 1, 2025. Given the the size, 550 (or more) students participating, they will most likely also set the record for largest band to perform on the parade. All costs must be appropriated by the participants, not funded by the parade. With the logistical and funding hurdles being mostly met, we are just $50,000 away from covering all expense for the practice parade planned for December 22, 2024. This will be last chance for the band to practice as a whole and work out any issues they may encounter. This practice in the city of Norwalk will give the students the final opportunity to work together and get the real experience of marching, playing the instruments, and performing for miles without breaks. Tournament Of Roses Parade is no easy feat at 5.5 miles. With your support these students will definitely have their "Best Day Ever" while proudly representing the local schools, school districts, city of Norwalk, and most importantly showcasing their talents and dedication.
