Save & Support IOOF Good Sam Lodge #2 From Closure

I hope this letter finds you all well. After our lodge meeting last night, I am writing to seek your support in a matter of great urgency and importance to our non-profit lodge, which serves as a VITAL resource for our community. We are currently facing a dire financial and legal crisis that threatens our very existence.

The ongoing legal battle regarding the disreputable (roof leak) contractor of our lodge has placed us at risk of permanent closure. We have exhausted all of our "rainy day" funds in the bank account, and the lodge has remained in dire disrepair for an extended period. This situation has severely hindered our ability to raise the necessary funds to keep our doors open and continue serving our community.

The legal and financial burdens we have faced have had a detrimental impact on the lodge and its members. Despite the unwavering efforts of our members and volunteers, we have been unable to generate any revenue, as we have historically done, due to the lack of a suitable space to host fundraising events. This has left us in a precarious position, unable to fulfill our charitable mission and support those who rely on us.

We are in desperate need restitution for the hardships we have endured after spending those funds for legal assistance. The situation has reached a critical point, and we urgently require a resolution to ensure the survival of our lodge. The financial strain and the inability to repair our facility have brought us to a sad and unfortunate day.

We kindly request your assistance in advocating for us and helping us navigate this complex legal situation. Your support would be invaluable in securing what we need to rebuild and continue our mission.
