About the Club
Stowmarket Town Football Club, founded in 1883, is a beloved community institution run entirely by volunteers. Our club has been a staple of the town's sporting scene for over 140 years, providing a safe and welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities.
The Club has impacted many lives in such a positive way over the course of its history, and is one of the oldest in the region.
The Challenge We're Facing
Unfortunately, our club is currently facing a significant financial challenge. We've inherited a substantial debt that is accruing interest, putting our very existence at risk. Despite the members best efforts, the debt is unsustainable, and we need your help to overcome this hurdle.
Your support can also help us improve the infrastructure of the club for the benefit of all the children, community and the region, who benefit from the club. There is no limit to the support you can give, but for the price of one point, you can make a huge difference.
Our Vision for the Future
We're not just fighting for survival; we're fighting for a brighter future.
Our youth section is thriving, and with 4 new teams joining our ranks for the upcoming season and 2 more in the pipeline. We're also expanding our offerings to include many initiatives to support the club and the community such as:
- Walking football for adults looking for a fun, low-impact way to stay active
- Veterans football for those who've served our country
- Women's football, with new girls' teams already starting this year
