My name is Faith, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Sandra - a courageous woman whose life has been turned upside down by a sudden and severe medical crisis.

Late last year, Sandra’s health took a turn. What began as mild symptoms quickly escalated into something far more serious. After multiple hospital visits and tests, she was diagnosed with advanced liver cirrhosis and ovarian cysts. Doctors made it clear: a liver transplant is necessary for her to survive. It was devastating to her because the cost far exceeds what she can afford. Her condition has declined rapidly since.

Sandra has spent her life caring for others and being the sole provider for her family. Now, she finds herself in urgent need of care. She is no longer able to work, has limited access to funds, electricity, proper care and medical support - yet she hasn't given up. Despite it all, Sandra found the strength to search for help however she could, reaching out online with the little access she had.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help Sandra access the medical care she urgently needs, including:

Critical treatment and medical procedures

Hospital care, specialist consultations, and ongoing support

Travel and logistics to access proper treatment outside her region

Support for Sandra while she works to regain her strength

Thanks to your generous initial donations, Sandra has already been able to receive some much-needed treatment. However, she still requires immediate, life-saving intervention in the form of a liver transplant.

Sandra has been informed that the estimated cost of her treatment is in the region of 50–60 million naira (£27,000 to £33,000). She has also been advised that the procedure will need to take place abroad, with India being the most common and viable option. This is what we are working towards.
