My name is David Kovatch. I’m the owner of Sacred Waters Kava Bar in Northeast Ohio. I was fortunate to open the first kava bars in Ohio. Since opening the first location, it has changed many lives. It has become a place for community, love, friendship and healing to manifest. The first location had such a profound impact that I decided to turn my restaurant which served tacos, beer margaritas into my second location. Being a sober person myself, I decided I didn’t want to poison people anymore, and voluntarily stopped serving alcohol to serve these wonderful plant allies instead. The city of North Olmsted I’m operating in first tried to prevent me from opening the location. Since that didn’t work, now they are actively trying to shut me down. Sacred Waters is a place for love, healing and hope. We are building a wonderful community based on service to others. We will continue to demonstrate love and compassion, and not bow down to bullying, harassment and fear. Please help us to defend our constitutional right to operate our 100% legal small business, and continue to build our very special community in peace. Thank you for your help, and I love you all.
