Save Ricky DeRosa's Faith in Humanity

Hi, my name is Raven and my best friend's name is Ricky. He's one of the most wonderful human beings to ever have blessed this earthly plane. 

This is his story:

Born from under a rock at the bottom of the sea (Yonkers), Ricky emerged. From the dark depths of humanity's depression, this lone soul has fought with all of his might to make it through a system designed for him to fail.

Ricky is a born entertainer, comedian, actor, and writer, and sings like an angel who was just blessed in heaven.

Due to the greed of capitalism, he was required to work in the service industry to make due in the Big Apple. Though it wasn't ideal, Ricky persevered. He danced and sang his way through the restaurants he worked at, where his happy tunes and uplifting songs melted the hearts of colleagues and patrons alike. Everywhere he passed, smiles and laughter followed. Every footprint left in his wake sprouted daisies and happy little snails.

Then suddenly, darkness enveloped him in the form of chronic pain and chronic rent. You see, his knees and spine (3 slipped discs from PICKING UP A FORK WRONG - adults beware) couldn't support him on the restaurant floor any longer, and therefore, he couldn't support himself. Even the moths that rented out his wallet refused to be tenants any longer, depriving him of his last form of income.

Did this stop Ricky? It did not!

He went on to star in a film, work on a Michael Bay movie, write a HILARIOUS sketch film, and run out of unemployment TWICE.

Did the second time his unemployment run out stop him? Absolutely!

This bright mind among grey-fogged men is currently laying flat, on his back, in a dark room, having given up all hope.

Four months of rent? Owed.

$10,000 in credit card debt? Owed.

Student loans? Haven't paid in 6 years while trying to follow his dreams.

Whereas he may have given up on himself, I will not give up on him, and NEITHER SHOULD YOU AMERICA! HELP THIS BOY FOLLOW HIS DREAM!

His dream of being able to pay his rent, so he can afford to focus all of his time and energy on the tv show (half sitcom/anthology) he is currently working on. His dream of being able to afford to submit his work to film festivals. His dream of being able to wake up to a sunny sky not blocked by the heavy cloud of debt hanging over him.

I am certainly biased, but I am no liar. This man is one of the most comical, talented, and insightful artists that I have ever had the fortune to cross paths with.

He is truly one of a kind and has the most imaginative mind and creative soul of any human I have ever encountered.
