Save Public Water Resources and Rights

Donation protected
Current and future generations of North Carolina citizens are being denied rights to  hunt in the sounds bays and rivers of North Carolina by acts of  the NC Legislature. The NC legislature (I believe unintentionally) has taken what is owned by all of us and given exclusive rights to a few privileged people.  In addition, public access to our beaches are sometimes in jeopardy.

We have created the Foundation for Public Trust Resources and Rights to combat the unconstitutional taking of citizens' rights. To fight the State in court it will take approximately $50,000 to overturn the laws they have passed.  We  are in the process now of  filing suite in North Carolina Superior Court.

We will also use the money to restore the vast beds of sub aquatic vegetation (SAV) so critical to the fish, fowl, crabs, and shell fish that inhabit NC's public trust water.  Most SAV's are "planted" (established)  in the late spring.  We will purchase  and or collect tubers and transplantable vegetation for placement in  shallow flats in NC's sounds and their bays.   Ideal areas will be waters less than 4 feet deep with an array of bottom types.

Our goal is to ensure that the State's wealthiest and poorest person has equal and unbridled access to NC's Public Trust waters.
Please help us, our ability to proceed is dependent on public funding.

All funds will go directly to the court fight and the cost of restoring underwater grass beds.   This is an all volunteer organization, no paid workers.
