Save Preserve Independence

The Preserve Independence day program is a critical resource for vulnerable adults who struggle with behavioral health issues and without any financial assistance. The consumers all

live in group housing in the area. The homes do not provide for all the needs of these consumers. By providing nutrition, activities, education, social work, medication disbursement, review, and therapeutic support along with counseling.

In addition to the above, Preserve also helps consumers with basic hygiene, Preserve Independence provides basic hygiene products, and when possible clothing.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, unforeseen emergency expenses, being down of a transport vehicle requiring collision repairs, and pledged donations not being made, the center's financial resources have been severely limited, threatening its very existence. Closing Preserve Independence will leave many vulnerable adults without the bare minimum.
