Please donate funds for legal support to help parents and the Smannell and Enham community to keep open Smannell and Enham Church of England Primary School - the funds will pay for a solicitor to challenge the council on legal grounds.

This is a Church of England school, and the council have not offered another school of our faith to send our children. We are passionate about our school and our religion, and it is discriminatory to attack our faith and our community in this way.

In May 2024, Ofsted visited during a redundancy period, with an interim Head, and it gave the school ‘inadequate’. A rumour began that the school might close, and the council met with other schools to see if a merge or takeover was possible, from a non-religious local school.

This scandal drove away some parents and made the school less attractive - thus reducing pupil numbers. Shame on Ofsted and shame on Hampshire County Council who are now attempting to close the school quickly - mid-term, proposal closure date of Friday 13th February, with just four months notice.
