Donation protected
Our group came together when our communities of Conisbrough, Clifton, Micklebring, Firsby, Ravenfield and Hooten Roberts were faced with a proposed Solar development on Conisbrough Parks. This Area of Special Landscape Value is our heritage. The ancient hunting grounds of Conisbrough Castle have not seen any development for centuries. The land is prime agricultural land and contributes to the nations food supply. Locals and visitors use this land to walk and engage with its surrounds, there are red listed birds, herbs and plants and miles of green undulating land that eases the mind and heals our souls. We will not give this up for thousands of Solar panels, that will not benefit anyone in our community but will line the pockets of speculative companies who care nothing for our villages. We support Solar on rooftops and brownfield sites. Hands off our Greenbelt. The funds raised will pay for campaign costs and the engagement of specialist environmental lawyers.
