Right now, The Li’l Community Hub + Soundbites in North Shields is facing a devastating funding crisis that could force us to close our doors.

Without urgent support, a space that has become a lifeline for local people, families, young people, and vulnerable residents could disappear forever.

A warm, welcoming space for people experiencing loneliness and isolation,community activities that bring people together, support, signposting, a rehearsal/music room, a podcasting/recording suite and more practical help for those facing hardship.

Opportunities axist for local residents to connect, volunteer, and rebuild their confidence in a place where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness,

At a time when the cost-of-living crisis continues to hit families hard, demand for our services has never been greater, yet the funding that keeps these vital services running has never been more uncertain.

The Crisis We Face

Like many grassroots community organisations, we have been affected by:

Rising utility and operational costs,

increased demand for support services,

Reduced grant funding opportunities and

delays and gaps in those funding streams which are available.

Despite working tirelessly to secure new funding, the reality is stark:

Without immediate financial support, Li’l Community Hub + Soundbites will be forced to close entirely.

The impact on our community would be heartbreaking.

People who rely on us for our services, companionship, support, and connection would have nowhere else to go.
