Join us on December 13th, 2024, for "A Night of Noble Wines for a Noble Cause."

Our goal? To raise £9,000 to renovate the beloved Swerford Playground—a vital community space that has become a cherished part of our village life. Currently, the playground no longer meets safety standards, and without your support, it risks closure. Together, we can ensure it remains a safe and engaging place for generations to come.

As someone who has enjoyed life in Swerford for the past three years, I’ve had the joy of sharing this special place with my 3½-year-old granddaughter during her visits. For her, the playground is one of the highlights—a place where she can swing, slide, and explore. She loves picking apples, harvesting plums, and watching the animals in the nearby fields. Her joy reminds me of the importance of having a place where children, families, and generations can come together to connect and make memories. I know she’s not the only grandchild who loves visiting her grandparents in the village, and my hope is that this playground can continue to be a place where we all gather, grow, and enjoy time together.

The playground is more than just a place to play—it’s an essential part of our village that brings together local children and their friends from neighboring areas. Here, children can build friendships, learn teamwork, and develop the skills that are vital for their wellbeing and future. By supporting this project, you’re helping to create a space where children can learn, grow, and create bonds that will last a lifetime.

All proceeds from this exclusive, invitation-only wine-tasting and dinner event will go directly toward replacing worn-out equipment, creating a playground that’s safe, fun, and enriching.

The ticket price for this event is a minimum donation of £150, an incredible value considering the food and wine pairing dinner itself is worth twice as much. With only 20 seats available, we kindly ask that you let us know well in advance if you cannot attend. Please note that the link to this page has been shared solely with our personally invited guests.

Even if you cannot attend in person, you can still support us by donating or participating in our wine auction, featuring rare, world-class bottles. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference and help create a playground where children can play, families can gather, and generations can connect.
