Save Novi Stjenik Monastery Property

Dear Friends in Christ,

All of you familiar with our monastery know that as we live far away from civilization, we have to be self-sufficient in many ways. This includes having cows for milk, chickens for eggs, etc, and the tools and storage space for all things required for living out in the country. In the picture above you can see our favorite gathering place, and behind that, though not visible, is an expanse where we have our barn, chicken coop, dog pens, and a large storage building. For almost two decades now we have been using this property, which goes right up to our monastic courtyard, by the wish and invitation of our neighbors, who even signed a part of their property over to us - though it doesn't include the part that we actually use, which they would have given us, but couldn't be bothered 15 years ago to do the paperwork. Now, by human weakness and/or evil influence, the elderly property owner in question has fallen prey to the desire for money, and is demanding the exorbitant price of 7000 EUR for this relatively small piece of land, otherwise, she will take legal action. To her or anyone else, it is nearly valueless. Still, since it is basically half of our monastery buildings now, of course to us it is vitally important. We beg for your speedy help to remedy the situation and help us buy this property, now an integral part of our monastic compound. Thank you, God bless you all for your help and please pass along!
