Norseforged Gathering is a fantasy faire that has become a beloved staple in our community. It was started by a handful of nerds who were searching for a place to belong—a community where misfits, nerds, and social outcasts could come together and be themselves. Over the years, the gathering has grown into something truly special, offering a unique space for tens of thousands of people to find acceptance and support.

It all started in late 2022. NorseForged was sitting in his shop feeling bored and wanted to play a game of D&D. Having no one to game with, he put out the call on social media, inviting fellow nerds in the area to come by the shop for a game if they felt so inclined. To his surprise, over 100 nerds in full garb showed up ready to play and thus became the first Gathering. Since then, the Gathering has taken on a life of its own, drawing nerds from all over the WORLD!

We have hosted six gatherings so far, growing from just 100 people in attendance at our first event to well over 15,000 at our most recent. The gathering is organized and run by Norseforged and his wife alone, with a small team of volunteer nerds who pour their hearts into making each event possible. Norseforged and his wife have dedicated their entire life to this event and to creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, all of the profit we planned to use for funding the next Norseforged Gathering was lost. This was an absolutley devastating blow to the company and the community. We had no control over the situation, and it was not due to any negligence on the Gathering team. This has put the future of the event at risk, and we need your help to keep it going. The funds raised will be used to cover venue costs, pay artists, performers, encampments, logistics, and staff to host a Gathering 7.

We set our goal very high. This is because we've learned that NO VENUE can host us at our full capacity. In the past 5 years, we have outgrown 3 separate venues. Following our growth trend, we could be looking at close to 30-40k attendees next year. This is both incredible and worrisome. Soon we will HAVE to purchase land of our own if we are going to see this become what it's already well on its was to becoming. One of the largest fantasy events in the country!

The Norseforged Gathering was built organically, without corporate investors or outside funding. It was created with the idea that everyone deserves to feel seen, accepted, and have a home. The Gathering has touched countless lives, lifting those who needed it most. We provide a judgement free, safe space for nerds of every genre to come and be part of our extended family. The Gathering is truly a different caliber of fantasy faire. We pride ourselves in creating a realm that is much more personable, welcoming, and family friendly. We are a community unlike any other!

And that's why we are asking for the community's help. If we aren’t able to rally the community and raise funds, there simply won’t be a gathering seven. Your support will help us keep this incredible tradition alive and give a home to those who need it most.
