My father built our family cabin 35 years ago, back in 1989. It was his sanctuary, a place filled with memories and love. After his passing in 2016, grief kept me from visiting the cabin for years. When I finally returned in 2022, I was heartbroken to see it in such a dire state.
The roof is barely holding up, and the kitchen walls and floor are deteriorating rapidly. With winter fast approaching, I'm afraid this might be the last chance to save what my father worked so hard to create.
