It is essential that the community hires an attorney to represent us regarding the controversy over who is the rightful owner of Leahi Avenue. Precedent-setting cases have shown that the transfer to Safe Leahi is likely invalid because it was actually owned by the State, not the Lunalilo Trust, at the time of the transfer. The Hawaii Revised Statutes HRS 264-2.1 appears to be applicable and mandates the City and County take over ownership. Having the street transferred to the City and County is better than the current private ownership, and an attorney can help us achieve this. 

It is well known that Leahi Avenue is more unsafe now than it was before, and the ineffective attempt at a traffic engineering solution needs to be removed.
