HELP SAVE YOUTH CHARITY FROM CLOSURE

NEWS UPDATE
WE DID IT!!
A big thank you, we reached, we even exceeded, our target. This is a great achievement and one we could not have done without your fantastic support.
On behalf of everyone from JusB, I want to say thank you. Reaching this target was not easy and was only achievable with Your generosity and support, which has taken us beyond our target ensuring that JusB will continue to work with young people in Bromley.
We have paused our GoFundMe page but you can still support us by visiting our website, www.jusb.co.uk

JusB is the only remaining youth club in North Bromley and for the past 20 years we have helped 1000’s of vulnerable young people. We work with those who are hard to reach, disadvantaged, in need of support with staying in education or getting into work. Our projects divert young people from unproductive activities toward positive ones that make the most of their potential.

Like many other voluntary groups we have to generate our own funding and this has recently proved very difficult. We are now in the critical position that unless we raise £75,000 by the end of June we will have to close and no longer be able to support the 100’s of young people we work with each year.

3 key reasons why we need your urgent support:
● Due to the cost-of-living crisis there’s been a significant reduction in direct donations.
● Charities grant income has been significantly reduced by local councils.
● Cuts to youth services have been made despite continuing high level needs.

We provide activities that support young people on their journey to independence, these range from:
● Homework clubs three days a week that provide equipment and space to complete their school studies.
● Weekly cooking sessions providing healthy and nutritious meals.
● We have a music studio where young people can sing, produce music, and learn musical instruments, which helps them express themselves in a positive manner and increases their confidence.
● We have youth clubs where young people can mix with their friends and play games.
● We provide one to one Information Advice and Guidance sessions.
● During the school holidays, we provide new and diversionary projects to divert them from anti-social behaviour.

We do make a difference! Listen to J’s story:
J came to us with a friend, they were not performing well in their studies, frequently being excluded from school for being disruptive and self-harming. After a year of attending our club (especially the homework club) their studies in school improved, they have not been expelled in 7 months and they are now managing their self-harming.

JusB is a place where young people are listened to, supported and encouraged to develop whatever their problems. Here young people can ‘just be’ themselves and where they can ‘just become’ all that they can be whatever their starting point.

Our work is vital to the young people of Bromley so please If you can help in any way, JusB is grateful and appreciates your generosity on behalf of the young people.
