Save Inkerman

Donation protected
We are a group of local residents who are concerned about potential changes to the safe cycling provisions that Glen Eira Council is planning to make to Inkerman Road, Caulfield North and Inkerman Street, East St Kilda. We are concerned about the impact of these changes on residents and business owners - on the ability for residents, visitors, and tradespeople to access our homes and businesses, and on the physical and mental health issues of such impacts.

OUR GOAL is to work towards ensuring that any changes to Inkerman keep local cyclists safe whilst ensuring that residents’ amenity be retained. We also want to encourage a better alternative for connecting the Dandenong-Caufield rail trail to St Kilda Road, so that longer-distance commuter cyclists do not need to interact with parked cars nor moving cars from driveways and side streets (which is unavoidable on Inkerman).

We want to raise funds immediately for the purpose of printing corflute posters which can be placed at the front of residents' properties to send a message to Council that community members are concerned and that they should listen to us and take these concerns into account when making any changes to Inkerman. We will also be purchasing zip ties, double sided tape, and wooden stakes so that we can help people display the poster.

Any donation, no matter how small or large, will help as added together the total amount will allow us to print up a greater number of posters.
