In Guzara, Herat, Afghanistan there is a small school where children come each day eager to learn. It is a place that offers them hope and stability in a time when both are hard to find. But right now, that hope is in danger.
One of the school’s boundary walls is badly damaged. It is leaning and unstable, and if it collapses during school hours, it could seriously injure or kill the children inside. This is an urgent safety issue, and we cannot wait until it is too late.
We are raising $1000 to rebuild the wall. This will cover the cost of materials and pay fair wages to local workers. It is a small amount, but it will make a life-saving difference.
Funds will be distributed through the “Afghanistan Women Council”, a respected and community-led organization that has been serving Afghan women and children since 1986. They have continued their work through decades of conflict, displacement, and crisis. In recent years they have delivered clean water, food, winter supplies, and safe shelter to thousands of families. They are trusted, experienced, and deeply committed to supporting people on the ground.
This is our fourth fundraiser in partnership with AWC. Every previous campaign has reached the right people and made a real impact. We are confident that this one will too.
If you are able to give, please consider donating. If you cannot, sharing this campaign with others is just as important.
A classroom should never be a place of fear. Help us make this school safe again.
