Save Her Children

My really close friend needs to give a $7,000 retainer to an attorney by Wednesday.  She is a single mom of two - for the last 8 years she was sharing custody with her ex.  However she found out recently that he had been taking the boys to parties where he and his friends get high and drunk and completely neglect the kids.  This weekend while her boys were at his house, her 8 year old son consumed an entire bar of chocolate that was in the snack cabinet.  The bar of chocolate was an “edible” and contained around 60 mg of THC.  (This amount is used to make 6 adults extremely high) He ate it at 6:30 am. His father did not take him to the ER, his father left him in the house alone while he went out to shul, his father did not tell the mother about this.  The next day he dropped his boys off at school per their agreement. It was only after the boys came home that my friend heard about this.  She immediately took her son to the ER where he received IV to flush his system. CPS was contacted and so was poison control.  CPS advised the mom (my friend) to get a lawyer to protect her kids from their negligent father.  She works a 9-5 job, takes care of 2 boys all on her own, cuts and color hair at night to make a little extra. She struggles to pay her bills.  She needs $7,000 for a retainer to at least start the process of fighting for her kids.  If you can help, whatever amount you can give will go directly to pay the attorneys fees.
