Save Grandma and Poppa's Home
Our grandparents, Janice and Brian Norman - also known as Grandma and Poppa - are in danger of losing their home. A few years ago, the tenant living in their basement swept- along with his wife- befriended our grandparents. Him and his wife helped my grandparents shopping, they went out to movies and dinners with our family and they even started raising their newborn child in our grandparent's home. So needless to say, our grandparents loved and trusted him. Because of this and their natural instinct to help, they gave and gave thinking they'd all benefit from an 'investment plan' he had proposed to them. This 'investment plan' ended up being a scheme and through it, he obtained ownership of our grandparents' house with the intention of selling it for his benefit.
Now, for the last 6-8 months Grandma and Poppa have been fighting a stressful and expensive legal battle against him just in order to keep their house. That's it. They just want to keep their home. However, recently we got some news: this man has not been paying the mortgage payments which is causing the bank to foreclose on the house. This means our grandparents will lose the house and anyone will be able to buy it. We need your help in order to stop the foreclosure and have a chance at winning the case and keeping the house in the family.
This isn't just a house. This is a beautiful lived-in home with thirty years worth of wonderful memories. We were raised there, our dad and our uncles (their sons) were raised there , our friends were raised there, they've made countless renovations on the house all by themselves (including a sundeck from scratch and a seperate shed that our grandfather uses as his gym), and they've worked on a luxurious garden that surrounds the house since they moved in. Losing this house would be truly unfair in every sense of the word and losing it to this man just so he can turn a proft would be an insult to my grandparents and our entire family.
Our grandparents are two incredible, hard-working individuals who only care about spreading love and making others happy. They have faced their fair share of hardship including losing their son (our uncle) in a car accident years ago and our grandma battling cancer twice and winning. But if you talk to them you'd never guess the tragedy they've faced because they are all about positivity and love. It is a complete injustice that this is happening to them.
Our goal is $30,000 (the cost of stopping the foreclosure) and we' hope to reach it by late May. So please, anything you can donate would be much appreciated. It would mean the world to us, our friends, our family and most importantly our Grandma and Poppa. Thank you. Much love.
