Jason built Genesis not just as a business but as a mission:

• Feeding the Community – Every Friday before Shabbat, Jason personally loads his truck with kosher meals and delivers them—quietly, anonymously—to those in need. Families wake up to a meal on their doorstep, never knowing who sent it. That’s Jason.

• Providing for the Vulnerable – Over the years, Genesis has fed patients at hospitals, families at nursing homes, those facing hard times, and countless others who needed a helping hand—always with no expectation of anything in return.

• Strengthening Jewish Life – Genesis has played an essential role in supporting the Houston Jewish community, serving as a foundation for Jewish families, organizations, and young professionals. The restaurant has helped bring thousands of Jewish families to Houston, giving them a place to gather, celebrate, and feel at home. It has hosted and supported fundraisers, community events, and organizations such as Ben-Gurion University, the FIDF, Seven Acres, Hebrew Free Loan, and various Jewish Young Adult Organizations.

• Elevating Kosher Dining – Jason transformed kosher food in Houston, setting a standard that rivaled New York. Thanks to his dedication, kosher cuisine in the Southwest reached new heights.

We are proud to announce that Genesis is continuing to serve the community under our new Glatt Kosher certification, KBY Kosher Bet Yosef, which upholds the highest standards of Kashrut.
