The Foday Kemo Orphanage Society, founded in 2012 in Brikama, Jalamba, provides a home and education for almost 300 vulnerable orphans, fulfilling the lifelong dream of its namesake, an orphan himself. Currently at capacity, the center faces the urgent threat of closure due to critical funding shortages. With 40 dedicated staff members caring for children around ages 7 to 17, the center provides both religious and secular education. However, they are struggling to meet essential needs, including daily food costs, staff salaries and basic supplies like mattresses, bed sheets, and prayer mats. Without immediate financial support, this vital sanctuary for orphans risks shutting its doors. Please help this Ramadan by donating what you can.
