Sydney developer MBark has submitted a Development Application to build 125 dwellings (77 houses and 3-storey unit blocks) in the middle of Federal Golf Club on Red Hill. The development will result in irreversible impacts on endangered species like the Gang-gang cockatoo, massive disruption to the golf course and loss of public access and amenity for residents of the surrounding suburbs and recreational users who visit Red Hill.
Friends of Federal Fairways is campaigning hard to stop the development. Your donation will help fund the expert advice we need from town planners and legal advisors, undertaking environmental assessments, and the costs of campaign activities such as printing and distributing information brochures, digital media and organising events like rallies.
Over the past two decades Federal Golf Club has proposed numerous versions of residential development, all of which have failed due to community opposition. This MBark development is not needed or wanted but mostly it is irreversibly damaging to the environment and the golf course.
Contributions of any amount are welcome and appreciated - every bit will help us to succeed against a big Sydney developer with deep pockets.
Thank you.
