Please help me stop the BANK & COURTS FROM FORECLOSING on The BISHOPS !
My name is Ken Morrison and I’m a local REALTOR®️ with Re/Max Excellence in Edmonton.
In January of this year I was given a Forclosure to sell in the community of Fulton Place, I quickly found out it was an elderly couple in their mid 80’s being foreclosed on, they have lived in the home since 1967 !
I was also able to find out that this home was the original homestead of the area and had been a dairy farm built around 1905 by the Morris family.
This Foreclosure has deeply effected myself & my wife Richelle as well as other REALTORS®️ and friends I’ve shared this story with it has touched many hearts and I just can’t sit back and do nothing.
After meeting with the home owner Eric Bishop I could see the passion and love he and his wife Jean have for the home, he has told me stories of the area, showed me a mural he painted of the original dairy farm that’s proudly displayed across the wall of the sitting room.
Again Mr & Mrs Bishop are in their 80’s and don’t deserve to be thrown out of their home no matter what the bank/courts say, as Mr. Bishop has stated
“it’s all a bunch of rubbish if you ask me”
I agree Mr Bishop !
I would like to raise $325,000 (which is what the Bank is asking for the home)to stop this nonsense, these sweet people should be aloud to remain in their home as long as they please and I would like to help that happen by raising enough to buy the home and give the Bishops Free title at that point they can stay, sell or do what they wish with the home on their terms not the bank/courts.
Not only should this home remain in the Bishops name but it should remain as a reminder of a past that is quickly being forgotten in our great city.
I’m starting this Go Fund Me to KEEP ERIC & JEAN BISHOP where they belong in the only home they’ve known for the last 52 yrs and put and end to this Forclosure.
*I will be donating any and all commissions I make on this property back to the Bishops.
