The Town of Terra Nova’ s beloved Eddie Eastman Hall is in need of urgent repairs as we have recently discovered a brown bat infestation in the attic. The clean-up and repairs are extremely costly but are necessary to keep our Community Hall! We are asking for your generosity as every dollar counts!
Eddie Eastman hall has a long-standing history in the Community of Terra Nova. Built in 1942, and in its almost 80 year life span it has hosted a myriad of events such as badminton tournaments, concerts, weddings, dances, kitchen parties, community sales and seasonal and private events! It is now in jeopardy and in URGENT need of your support.
Our goal is $60,000.00!!!
The Hall is named after Eddie Eastman, born Eddie Rowsell, on July 15 1949 in Terra Nova, NL. Eddie Eastman is a Canadian country music singer and song writer. Eddie Eastman won the Juno award for country male vocalist of the year in 1981 and 1983 and was inducted into the Canadian country music hall of fame in 2010. Eddie currently resides in Nashville but his heart has always been in the community of Terra Nova. We are very proud to call him “our own”
We would like to sincerely thank you for support and encourage you to spread the word and share with your family and friends. 100% of your funds received will be used in the removal, clean up/sanitation and repairs due to the unfortunate bat infestation.
Eddie Eastman Hall is currently closed. We would like to raise enough funds to open it back up as soon as possible as it is plays a very prominent role in the Community and especially for the residents of Terra Nova.
