Save Dayton Book Fair: Secure Our Future

The Dayton Book Fair is losing our home! We have been collecting books at this location at 2181 Embury Park Road for more than twenty years-- this is the heart of the organization that produces the enormous Dayton Book Fair each November, and also stocks everyone's favorite bookstore, Rabbit Hole Books.

Sadly, due to health considerations, our landlord (who is a wonderful guy) is having to sell our building. We will need to be out of the building by the end of January 2026-- just slightly over six months away.

We generally don't fundraise for ourselves-- as you may know, the money we raise at the Book Fair is shared as grants between three different Dayton-area beneficiaries each year. We've always managed to be pretty self-sufficient. Although we have set aside some money for this project, we are nowhere near having enough.

We will be reaching out to some philanthropic organizations and hosting some fundraisers through Rabbit Hole Books, but we really could use a hand, and your donations can help us save the day and go on for many more years.
