Save Christy's House!

Hello my name is Eranga. I am fundraising for an employee who used to work for my dad, whom I knew - as he used to pick us up from school and bring us over to my dad's office on days we had after-school activities.

I know he was very poor, traveled a long way (from Yatiyantota) by bus and he worked as a level 1 assistant for my dad Emil Liyanage (Green Tours). Once my dad sold his travel agency business, he distributed some of his proceeds so Christy along with his tenured employees can fend for themselves until they transitioned to a different role. Along with this money, and proceeds from taking a second mortgage on his house Christy had plans to invest in his own ice cream truck and equipment such as freezers/truck to run the business. But all his plans were stalled as the pandemic crippled Sri Lanka’s economy along with political unrest in the country.

Christy’s situation now:

Christy, along with his wife and two daughters live in a village, and we need Rs.1,000,000 to save his house. This converts to roughly $2,800 US Dollars. I am hoping we, as Sri Lankans and global ambassadors living in the USA can contribute and save Christy from losing his residence. I know a dollar goes a long way in Sri Lanka, especially with the current situation and inflation.

All proceeds will be transferred by end of day Nov 15th since he is dealing with the deadline imposed by the bank.
