Country Winds Manor is in a severe financial crisis. Country Winds Manor specializes in the care of residents with dementia. Our facility includes the Patty Elwood and Donald Lundak Centers and needs help to avoid closure. The remaining residents will be forced to uproot and move out of the comfort of their home and the wonderful country living and amenities provided. Please consider donating today to help keep this long-standing community non-profit business with the costs of staying open for our community, the residents, and the staff. Time is of the essence!
Country Winds Manor provides a continuum of quality health care. As a non-profit entity, Country Winds Manor is dedicated to providing services to residents of Howard County and surrounding areas. Country Winds Manor provides health care service to individuals without regard to race, color, creed, sexual orientation or financial status. Our intention at Country Winds Manor is to help our residents succeed with their goals and maintaining as much independence as is appropriate.
The Donald Lundak Center is an assisted living community for residents with dementia. There are 12 suites in this close-knit community, allowing staff to give one-on-one attention to residents. Assisted living is offered to the extent that it is needed. It could be a as simple as a caregiver helping with medications. It could be help with dressing, grooming or bathing, or managing a chronic condition. There is 24-hours staff coverage, three meals a day and special programming – all contributing to a fulfilling lifestyle for residents.
The Patty Elwood Center is a long-standing leader in nursing home level dementia care. The philosophy of the Patty Elwood Center is to promote a true sense of well-being in a safe environment. Maintaining positive interactions -- even as a dementia disease progresses -- is a daily focus. Residents are encouraged to make decisions about their daily lives. You’ll find an environment that doesn’t overstimulate residents so they can function at their highest level.
