Save Community Journalism with Black Zebra
Today, our Facebook account containing dozens of hours of community documentary footage was removed by the website.
For the last two weeks, our nonprofit's local documenting team has live-streamed and recorded community actions in Sacramento, CA.
Our coverage grew to reaching over 2 million people within the last week. We have been with the community every day, facing tear gas, rubber bullets, and police detainment. All of this was documented on Facebook and Instagram.
The Sacramento community has supported our efforts, and the Sacramento Bee newspaper issued us press passes for protection from police detainment.
We need your help to stand up for press freedom, and to keep getting this information to the community.
DONATE NOW to support the right to press freedom, our ongoing legal effort (we are now working with the ACLU), and to fund upgrades to our website and streaming platforms.
We thank you for your ongoing support, and the trust you have given us so far in bringing you the truth in Sacramento. We aren’t stopping now.

Update: Thanks to immediate community support, our Facebook is reactive (for now). We need your support to migrate our coverage fully off of these platforms.
Donate now! We are a 501C3, so all donations are tax deductible.
