Help us save Leatherhead from over development

The Leret Partnership, which is a joint venture between Mole Valley District Council and Kier Group PLC, are proposing to build on a much-loved local park, The Red House Gardens, on Bull Hill. The park is situated in the heart of Leatherhead, opposite the rail station. The current 'Masterplan' is to build approximately 18 new structures on Bull Hill and in the Red House Gardens park. These include various tower blocks, townhouses, office spaces, and a multistorey carpark. The 8 tower blocks include:

The total number of residential units comes to 450+. All of this, in an area that we calculate to be approximately 8 acres.

Save Bull Hill does not think that this current Masterplan address the needs of residents of Leatherhead and could result in the whole character of the town changing for the worse.

We are fundraising for town planning experts. We have appointed a planning solicitor to review the planning application professionally. Our intention is for the planning solicitor, and any additional experts required, to prepare and submit a representation to the Council on behalf of all concerned residents. Leatherhead residents need to be heard.

We need to act fast! The planning application has been submitted and the closing date for making a comment on the plans is the 14 January 2026, so to have the best chance of saving our park we need to move quickly and with purpose.

The Council’s Planning Committee meeting is the last chance residents have to influence the plans for the heart of our town.
